| Christian Education
Sunday school for All Ages provides training and Biblical instruction to everyone. We hold classes for children from nine months old. All aspect of Christian education including, seminars, workshop, and educational outreach form part of our vision. We operate a three-year Bible school program and a correspondence course for those who desire to further their walk with the Lord. City of Faith Christian Academy is a ministry of this church. Here we provide an excellent Christ centered education for children ages 2-6 years old.
This auxiliary provides training and ministry opportunities to the men of the church. The male members of the church seek to reach out to other males, providing mentoring and leadership assistance as needed. The men's ministry operates the young men's ministry.
The women of our assembly have taken their rightful place. They fill vital roles in their homes, the community and in helping to carry out the goal of the church. The church is proud of its women ministry. It is seen as supreme example of burning zeal, high courage and lofty consecration. The young women's ministry falls under the shepherding care of the women's ministry.
Every life is very important to the Lord. The Salvation plan is not confined to a particular age or stage in life. For this reason our youth ministry challenges all our youths to a program of discipleship, fellowship, stewardship, worship and mission. The youth ministry reaches out to all to help them fulfill their God given task in life.
Technology has provided us with an excellent medium to help proclaim the gospel of Christ. We operate an audio and video ministry. Taped recording of our service are readily available. Through the auspices of the Bronx Cable Network, we have an opportunity to share the Gospel message by television.
Through a rich blend of traditional and contemporary gospel music and songs our choirs echo the testimonies of our hearts. Dedicated musicians, in raising anthem to our Lord back our entire Sunday school choir, youth fellowship choir, young adult choir, men's choir, ladies' choir and sanctuary. Singing is a ministry in our church; it is done for the glory of God, not for selfish motive or self-aggrandizement.
This ministry involves going to the highways and homes, bringing people to the house of the Lord. People are brought to the church where they can hear the word of God. Taking away the worry of fighting mass transit, especially on Sunday, is a great relief for people living in the inner city.
The entire church carries out the task of missionary auxiliary. We recognize those individuals who have prayerfully set themselves apart for this ministry by visitation and personal ministry evangelism outside the confines of the church. Our free food pantry, and free clothes distribution brings us in ministry contact with a wide cross section of peoples and needs from our neighborhood. Thorough our missionary outreach, we have planted churches in other boroughs of New York, The Tri State Area and operate several branches and network affiliates in foreign countries.
